Position Overview:
As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering fresh cosmetic chemistry and regulatory data and insights into our core product in a repeatable and scalable way. You will be responsible for working together with the Cosmetic Chemist, Product, and Engineering teams to outline optimal data refresh flows, create systems/automations for monitoring the sources Good Face refers to, and to clean up and restructure the data so it becomes usable. By leveraging excellent analytical and process engineering skills, you will aim for process repeatability, rather than “one-and-done” data sourcing and analyses, enabling the delivery of excellent new and evolved product features while decreasing the amount of manual manipulation and data input required from the Cosmetic Chemist team, and from our End Users.
What you’ll be doing:
● Scrape data from public sources of Cosmetics Regulations and ingredient inventories.
● Clean, normalize, and perform basic analysis using Python libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy)
● Store structured and unstructured data in PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
● Collaborate with product and analytics teams to support regulatory and data enrichment projects and processes. What you’ll bring to the team:
● Proficiency in Python for scraping.
● Experience working with REST APIs
● Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
● Strong data analysis skills using Python (pandas, numpy, matplotlib, etc.)
● Experience working with scientific or regulatory datasets
● Familiarity with basic ETL processes
● Knowledge of automation/orchestration tools
● English language proficiency
