Backend Engineer (node.js)

Hello! We are Leaply — an ecosystem of interconnected digital and physical products designed to help build healthy habits and improve the quality of life. We’re developing a range of B2C products for global markets, including the US, Tier 1, Europe, and beyond.

We launched in 2024 as a startup and have experienced explosive growth, achieving tenfold growth in the past six months. We’re targeting a fivefold growth this year, and we’ve already established market demand and a steady flow of users.

We have an ambitious vision of a mobile app that would revolutionize the way we build wellness habits. To bring this vision to life, we are assembling a team of top-tier professionals to build this app from the ground up.

To bring our vision to life, we’re looking for a driven Backend Product Engineer who will:
— Collaborate on shaping the product solution scope according to business goals and user needs;
— Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs. Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of our platform;
— Work through the entire iterative product development cycle and take end-to-end ownership of product features, from analyzing user problems to tracking business metrics and analytics.

What matters to us:
— 4+ years of experience in building and maintaining backend applications in Node.js/TypeScript;
— Hands-on experience with NestJs, GraphQL, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes;
— Experience working in cross-functional teams;
— A proactive, responsible mindset with a focus on solving user and business problems;
— Passion for learning new technologies or solutions to improve product development;
— Upper-intermediate English level;
— You are ahead of the AI adoption curve.

 

Bonus points for:
— Previous work with data-driven decision-making, product analytics, and feature ownership culture;
— Experience in hiring and managing an engineering or product team;
— Hands-on experience with client-side technologies, data engineering, and/or Machine Learning.
