SQL/JAVA-Groovy Reprots developer (offline)

Reports developers at our client's team develop reports in Groovy - a Java-based scripting language. Reports are created in HTML format (converted to PDF) or in Excel format (using Apache POI with helper template libraries). Report developers write SQL queries, VIEWs and stored procedures for retrieving data from PostgreSQL database, as well as research performance and scalability issues related to reports. Suitable candidates may advance to database architecture tasks, BI and data warehouse development, or Java development of the platform core capabilities.

The job suits a highly motivated person interested in developing a stable key developer career in an expanding international company. Work time is flexible, with regular online presence for conference calls and online meetings (usually scheduled between 10:00 and 18:00 Israeli/Bulgarian time).

Requirements:

Ability to work independent and to effectively communicate with team members abroad (experience working remotely is a plus).
Good English – written and conversational.
Strong SQL skills - ability to develop and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures (experience with PostgreSQL is a plus).
Experience with Java or Groovy, or any other programming language (C#, C/C++, Delphi, Python, etc.).
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS.
