Analytics Engineers (Data Team)
About the Role
For the client, the Analytics Engineer is a 100% engineering position. This role focuses exclusively on building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines and workflows within our services and data warehouses, using our ingestion and orchestrator tools.
This is fundamentally different from a Data Analyst, whose primary responsibility is keeping in touch with business and analyzing data to draw business insights. While analytics engineers must understand analytical requirements, their tasks are purely technical and revolve around engineering best practices—data modeling, system integration, and process automation—not direct analysis or interpretation of business data. In essence, this role is engineering at its core.
As an Analytics Engineer, you will deliver high-quality data solutions within agreed SLAs and budget.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and maintaining data pipeline architectures
- Assembling large, complex datasets for business needs
- Implementing process improvements (automation, scalability, optimization)
- Building analytics tools for actionable insights (customer acquisition, efficiency, KPIs)
- Supporting data design and modeling within an Enterprise Data Platform in a cloud environment
- Collaborating within an agile team and ensuring compliance with operational procedures
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in building & maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Advanced SQL + hands-on Snowflake experience
- Knowledge of relational & NoSQL databases optimized for analytics
- Proficiency in dbt (data modeling, transformation workflows, testing)
- Airflow (or similar) workflow orchestration experience
- Strong Python for pipelines & data processing
- Familiarity with other programming languages (e.g., Java, Scala, C++) is a plus.
- Experience with AWS data services (Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, S3, Redshift) and real-time/streaming pipelines
- Knowledge of Power BI / Tableau
- Strong analytical and implementation skills.
- Excellent English communication skills (explaining technical concepts to senior stakeholders)
