Role Overview

As a Frontend Engineer at Flamingo, you’ll play a key role in building the core user experience of our AI-powered platform.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you’ll collaborate with product designers, DevOps, and fellow engineers to ship quickly, iterate often, and build systems that scale. While the focus is on frontend, experience with Node.js will be considered a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core product features using React and TypeScript
• Translate product and design specs into high-quality, user-centric interfaces
• Ensure performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across modern browsers
• Collaborate closely with the design team to evolve and maintain our design system
• Work with APIs (REST and GraphQL) to integrate backend functionality into the UI
• Write clean, modular, well-tested code and contribute to code reviews
• Participate in system architecture discussions and technical decision-making (with a focus on frontend)
• (Plus) Contribute to backend logic using Node.js when needed

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• 4+ years of experience in frontend development
• Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript
• Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture, component design, and state management (e.g., Redux, Zustand, etc.)
• Experience integrating APIs and working with REST and/or GraphQL
• Strong understanding of version control and collaboration workflows using Git

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Node.js (Express/NestJS) for backend development
• Familiarity with microservices or event-driven architectures
• Understanding of accessibility and internationalization best practices
• Experience with server-side rendering and performance optimization
• Exposure to infrastructure tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD workflows)
