Hi there,

We’re Jett Develops, a digital product design & development agency. We partner with early-stage startups in FinTech, GreenTech, SaaS, and EdTech to help them launch impactful digital products. Our work has supported platforms used by Microsoft and Evergrow, and helped raise over $20M in funding.

We’re currently looking for a strategic and hands-on SMM Specialist to join us on a project basis. You’ll be responsible for building a social media presence from scratch – primarily for a Canada-based FinTech startup, and potentially supporting Jett’s own LinkedIn and Instagram strategy as well.

This role is ideal for someone who has worked with startups, knows how to build content that performs on English-speaking markets, and is ready to take ownership of both strategy and execution.

 

What You’ll Do

Social Media Strategy & Execution

  • Set up and manage LinkedIn and Instagram accounts for a new brand
  • Build and execute platform-specific strategies aligned with brand goals and voice
  • Manage content calendars and publishing workflows
  • Coordinate timing and messaging with broader campaign or GTM plans
  • Optionally support Jett Develops' internal social strategy
     

Content Creation & Creative Direction

  • Develop content ideas relevant to startup and FinTech audiences
  • Work with a designer to create visual assets
  • Adapt content to formats like carousels, reels, and thought-leadership posts
     

Trend Awareness

  • Monitor relevant industry, startup, and social media trends
  • Suggest timely, strategic content ideas
  • Help shape a distinct and consistent brand voice
     

Performance & Growth

  • Track key performance indicators like reach, engagement, and growth
  • Adjust strategy based on performance data
  • Continuously propose ideas to improve visibility and traction

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience managing brand accounts on LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Previous work with early-stage startups is required
  • Experience with English-speaking markets is required
  • FinTech experience is a strong plus
  • Strong writing skills in English
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently, and manage timelines
  • Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution
     

Nice to Have

  • Background in B2B SaaS or FinTech
  • Familiarity with brand building or launch campaigns
  • Canva or Figma proficiency
