Softcery

WordPress Developer to $1300

Softcery is a small, focused team building AI-driven B2B software solutions. We work closely with clients in the US and UK to launch AI voice agents and develop custom B2B platforms. Most of our work involves advanced R&D and complex problem-solving.

We’re looking for a WordPress Developer to join our team for a long-term project with a US-based client. You’ll be working on a product that helps e-commerce businesses reduce customer drop-off at checkout and boost conversions through a fast and universal checkout solution.

Tech stack: Go, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS, React + Node.js, WordPress.

What You’ll Do:

  • Make architectural and technical decisions — design and implement scalable plugin logic and integrations.
  • Take part in hands-on development — work directly on the WooCommerce plugin powering the client’s checkout solution.
  • Collaborate closely with the client and development team — clarify requirements, propose improvements, and deliver working features.
  • Review and improve current implementation — ensure long-term maintainability and performance of the codebase.
  • Support and consult teammates who are less experienced with WordPress — share knowledge and best practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of commercial experience with WordPress — you’re comfortable making technical decisions and implementing solutions from scratch.
  • Strong experience with WooCommerce — including plugin development, custom checkout flows, and integration logic.
  • Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Problem-solving skills — you can tackle complex, multi-component issues.
  • Attention to detail and clean code — you care about maintainability and long-term quality.
  • Fluency in Ukrainian and English (Upper-Intermediate+) — because communicating with customers is part of the job.

 What We Offer:

  • Structured onboarding & dedicated support  you’ll get a clear onboarding plan, documented workflows, and a team that’s got your back.
  • Flexible remote schedule — work from wherever and whenever you’re most productive.
  • Full accounting support — so you can focus on the work, not the paperwork.
  • Time off — 10 paid vacation days, 6 sick days, 2 paid period leave days/month (for women), and your birthday off.
  • IT Cluster membership  access to professional events and networking opportunities in the local tech community.

🔁 Hiring Process: Recruiter Interview → Tech Interview → Test Task → Final Interview.

If you care about who you work with, what you create, and how it affects the outcome, we will definitely be on the same page. We’re excited to meet you 👋
