Lead Designer (Design Agency)
Arounda is a full-cycle Digital Product Design and Development agency, operating on the market since 2016. Our main clients are American and European technological companies.
We are looking for a Lead Designer to join our design agency — a hands-on professional who can lead projects, mentor designers, and shape the creative vision, while actively contributing to the design process.
What you will need to do:
- Lead design projects from discovery to handoff, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Guide and support a team of designers (mentorship, task setting, and design reviews).
- Act as the decision-maker on projects, ensuring the design vision is met.
- Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and clients.
- Shape the design vision and help the team solve complex challenges.
- Work with feedback effectively — both giving and receiving constructive input.
- Be a role model of initiative and independence within the team.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a UX/UI Designer.
- 6+ months of experience as a Lead Designer or Design Manager.
- Experience managing at least 1 designer directly.
- Proven collaboration with cross-functional teams (developers, PMs, etc.).
- Hands-on design approach — you will be actively involved in the design work.
English — B2 (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.
Will be a plus:
- Experience in teaching or public speaking (courses, conferences).
- Background in design agencies or multi-project environments.
- Knowledge of process management or optimization in design teams.
