Shopify QA engineer
We’re a Shopify-focused development agency working with medium-sized and enterprise eCommerce brands, typically under white-label partnerships. We’re now hiring our first dedicated QA engineer to help us establish a solid foundation for quality assurance across the company and make a meaningful impact on every project we deliver.
Responsibilities:
- Review ticket requirements in ClickUp and designs in Figma.
- Create and execute test cases across Shopify stores, themes, and features.
- Perform manual functional and UI testing.
- Run thorough cross-browser and cross-device tests using LambdaTest.
- Log clear, actionable bugs with full reproduction steps and context.
- Collaborate closely with PMs and developers to maintain high quality across all projects.
- Help define and improve QA standards and practices – you’ll be the one shaping how it works.
Requirements:
- Proven hands-on experience testing Shopify stores is a must.
- A strong understanding of Shopify storefronts, themes, and custom features, along with a solid grasp of how the platform works.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to approach testing from a real user’s perspective and identify issues others might miss.
- Clear and proactive communication skills, with the ability to take full ownership of your work and move QA efforts forward independently.
- Take an active role in shaping and improving QA processes, adopting modern methodologies and best practices.
- Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and checklists to ensure all project requirements are thoroughly validated.
- Work closely with the team to verify fixes and perform re-testing on resolved issues.
- Upper-Intermediate English will be a huge plus.
