DevOps Engineer (Short-Term Contract, with option for Hourly Support in future) Offline

About the Project:

We are a modern auction house currently building a brand-new high-load application from scratch.

This is a greenfield project designed to handle high traffic and real-time bidding at scale.

We're looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help us set up the entire infrastructure within one month. Your job will be to prepare our system for production and ensure a scalable, maintainable setup that can be handed off to our internal team of developers.

We believe one month is enough to complete fully set up the infrastructure, run load tests, and prepare the system for production use, but we're open to extending this contract period if it's necessary that more time is needed.

After the initial engagement, we'd like to establish an ongoing relationship in the future where you're available for task-based work at an agreed-upon hourly rate (updates, more load testing, migrations, etc.).

Your Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Define everything as code using Terraform for GCP
• Set up and maintain Kubernetes clusters with support for rolling updates
• Configure horizontal auto-scaling based on traffic load to handle spikes
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies for microservices
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and add monitoring of services such as Kafka, Redis, etc.
• Document infrastructure setup for internal team handover

Ideal Candidate:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps / Infrastructure Engineering
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes, scalable architectures, and high-load systems
• Experience with GCP and setting up production-ready infrastructure
• Proficient in CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and incident response best practices
• Good communication skills in English (upper-intermediate or higher)
