The Opportunity:
- We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and technically astute Project Manager to join our close-knit team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of our IT projects from conception to completion, with a strong focus on understanding and exceeding client expectations. You will be the central point of contact for clients and our development team, driving transparency, clarity, and efficient progress towards project milestones. Your ability to build rapport, actively listen, and translate client needs into actionable plans will be paramount. Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship and Client Orientation: possesses a deeply ingrained client-focused mindset with an unwavering commitment to delivering high-quality solutions and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction!
- Expectation Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, trusting relationships. Proactively manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between client vision and project deliverables.
- Project Planning and Scoping: Define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria in close collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring a thorough understanding of client business needs and desired outcomes. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines and team allocation.
- Execution and Monitoring: Oversee and manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and scope. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies, always considering the impact on the client.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between clients and the development team. Provide regular, transparent, and proactive updates on project status, progress, and any challenges. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, fostering a positive and productive environment that prioritizes client satisfaction.
- Talent Management: Strategically manage engineering talent, ensuring optimal team utilization to meet project goals and client requirements. Key responsibilities include fostering team motivation, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, proactively addressing and resolving conflicts, and championing the professional growth of team members."
- Quality Assurance: Ensure project deliverables meet high-quality standards and exceed client expectations. Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) as needed, gathering and incorporating client feedback effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, status reports, and lessons learned. Generate clear, concise reports for internal and external stakeholders, tailoring communication to client preferences and needs.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies, leveraging client feedback to enhance future project delivery.
- Presales Support: Actively participate in presales activities, including understanding client requirements, contributing to proposal development, and presenting project approaches and capabilities to prospective clients
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in an IT environment, ideally within a small to medium-sized company, with a demonstrated track record of building strong client relationships and achieving high client satisfaction.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience applying them effectively.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, Trello, Monday.com,).
- Strong technical aptitude with a good grasp of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and general IT concepts. The ability to write and understand Python code is a significant plus, but not required.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with particular strength in active listening, empathy, and clear articulation of complex technical information to non-technical clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues with client impact in mind.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards shared client-focused goals.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, CSM) will be a plus.
