Data Architect

We specialize in selling PC and console video games across B2C and B2B channels in over 130 countries worldwide. We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to help us design, evolve, and govern the architecture of product content across our global eCommerce ecosystem.


Your mission will be to develop and maintain a scalable data model that supports:

  • Multiregional content (Scope)
  • Multilingual content (Locale)
  • Multichannel publishing (Channel) โ€” including B2C (Magento2) and B2B marketplaces (G2A etc)
  • Content fallback, overrides, and enrichment logic
  • External content source integration

Structured delivery to storefronts worldwide

Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain the conceptual, logical, and physical data model for product content architecture
  • Build and evolve a scalable Scope + Locale + Channel structure supporting overrides, localization, and fallback
  • Define business rules for content priority, data ownership, completeness, and validation
  • Architect automation pipelines for:
    • Initial data imports
    • Scope-to-scope content comparison and copying
    • Distribution-specific publishing
  • Implement content storage and indexing models using PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, S3, or similar
  • Lead and optimize integration flows with external data sources using API, ETL, or event-driven architecture
  • Operate within an AWS-based infrastructure, leveraging services such as S3, Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, DynamoDB
  • Create documentation, architecture diagrams, data flow maps, and decision logs

Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and content teams to align models with real-world use cases

Requirements:


Must-have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Architect or Data Modeler
  • Deep understanding of relational and/or NoSQL data modeling
  • Hands-on experience building or integrating PIM systems (preferably Akeneo, Pimcore, Contentful)
  • Strong knowledge of catalog management for eCommerce: SKUs, attributes, variants, localization
  • Proficient in SQL, normalization/denormalization, indexing strategies
  • Familiarity with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Step Functions, AuroraDB, DynamoDB, MongoDB and EventBridge
  • Experience with PIM systems or related platforms such as PCM, MDM, or PXM
  • Understanding of content fallback logic, versioning, source prioritization

Experience designing APIs or export feed schemas for multi-market platforms

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with Magento 2 or marketplace APIs (G2A)
  • Experience with headless CMS architecture
  • Ability to facilitate between business, content, and technical stakeholders

Skilled in diagramming and modeling tools: dbdiagram.io, Lucidchart, Draw.io
