Senior KYC/AML Compliance Manager

Key responsibilities of a Senior KYC/AML Specialist:

• Evaluating and assessing the risk associated with potential and existing clients, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and industry regulations.
• Making informed decisions on whether to accept or decline a potential client, and determining the terms of cooperation in relevant cases.
• Participation in the automation of compliance processes, identifying flaws and making recommendations for improving the system.
• Drafting and customizing policies and procedures ensuring they meet regulatory requirements, client needs and sound business practices.
• Managing a portfolio of clients, monitoring their performance, and making adjustments as needed to ensure profitability and risk management.
• Cooperation with MLRO and other departments to draw reports, address issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Mentoring and supporting junior underwriters.
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Skills and qualifications:

• 3 years extensive experience in underwriting in the financial sector/fintech, preferably with a focus on middle and high-risk clients.
• Strong analytical and assessment skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and team development skills.
• A good understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and financial ratios.
• Knowledge of financial products, policies, and regulations in the UK and EU.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, if applicable.
• Certifications in AML/compliance is highly desirable

Working conditions:

• Work schedule 5/2 from 10 a.m. to 7p.m.;
• Remote work;
• Ability to switch between projects and try yourself in different roles.
