BI Analyst Offline

Gypsy is looking for a BI Analyst focused on deep understanding of key business metrics, their continuous monitoring, and explaining changes. This role does not include engineering or ETL responsibilities โ€” the main focus is analytical thinking, interpreting trends, and communication with business teams.

๐ŸŽฏ Your skills:

  • 2+ years of experience as an analyst (BI, product, or marketing);
  • Strong understanding of business metrics in a digital/iGaming environment;
  • Experience analyzing user behavior, segmentation, LTV, retention, and conversion funnels;
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Superset, Google Sheets, etc.);
  • Ability to explain analytics in simple terms โ€” both verbally and in writing.

โž• Nice to have:

  • Experience in the iGaming industry or a strong understanding of user behavior in gambling products;
  • Basic Python knowledge is a plus but not required.

Important about the role:

  • You wonโ€™t create datasets or pipelines โ€” youโ€™ll have access to ready-to-use sources;
  • Your focus is on analysis, hypotheses, and solution-finding;
  • Youโ€™ll be the first line of analytical control โ€” the one who always knows whatโ€™s going on with our metrics.

Your key responsibilities:

๐Ÿ“Š Metrics Monitoring and Analysis

  • Daily/weekly tracking of key company KPIs (revenue, conversion, retention, DAU/WAU/MAU, churn, ARPU, etc.);
  • Identifying anomalies, trends, seasonality, and drops in metrics;
  • Analyzing metric changes: what exactly changed, when, why, and what to do next;
  • Creating reports explaining the dynamics of key indicators.

๐Ÿง  Hypotheses and Causal Analysis

  • Generating hypotheses about changes in user behavior, business performance, or marketing campaigns;
  • Collaborating with product, marketing, and finance teams to find correlations and causes;
  • Conducting ad hoc analyses: โ€œWhy did retention drop?โ€, โ€œWhy did ARPU increase?โ€, โ€œWhich segments drove the revenue shift?โ€

๐Ÿ“ˆ Visualization and Insight Communication

  • Working with Tableau dashboards;
  • Ability to quickly deliver a clear picture to C-level or non-technical teams;
  • Preparing analytical summaries and reports.

๐Ÿค Team Communication

Partnering with product, marketing, CRM, and VIP departments as an analytical advisor;

Understanding business context: which metrics matter to which department, and which impact revenue;

Building analytical vision and answering the question โ€œwhatโ€™s next?โ€ after each insight.
