Security DevOps Engineer (offline)

Job Description:
We are seeking a technical, crafty and knowledgeable Security DevOps Engineer (SDE): the SDE will represent Application Security team’s goal of keeping the security posture of Playtech’s products, software and development up to policies, standards and best practices. As part of the position’s day-to-day activities, the SDE will work closely with leading personnel from technology, business and operation sides to enhance the application security capabilities and tailor security to overall solutions across Playtech’s portfolio, along with on-going duties such as security reviews in design and code, work with penetration testing team, and leading personnel from technology, business and operation sides and portfolio managers to define application security baseline, perform software architecture and design security reviews, conduct application security testing, evaluate market and in-house security solutions, handle security reports and vulnerabilities from identification through remediation, support the business operations across a variety of applications, programming languages, and platforms.

The SDE responsibilities include security system deployments, configuration, monitoring and reporting. This position will have a lead role in performing vulnerability assessments, security testing, and working with security and IT teams on remediation and mitigation of findings.

Responsibilities:
• Assessing the security of in-house developed applications, APIs and platforms through code reviews and static analysis
• Review open source software for security risks
• Working with development teams in architecture design and review sessions
• Mentoring fellow engineers in secure coding practices
• Evaluate and recommend new and emerging security products and technologies
• Participate in incident handling
• Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation and develop ad-hoc reports as needed
• Participate in compliance audits when required (ISO 27001, PCI, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Expertise in security domains:
o Experience with secure development lifecycle practices and standards (OWASP, NIST, etc.)
o Familiarity with application security tools (SAST, DAST, 3rd party security review, etc.)
o Advantage: working as a security engineer / penetration tester
• Development / IT Ops related experience:
o Practical knowledge of software development or scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, Powershell)
o Advantage: Knowledge of server administration, CI/CD components management (source control, build servers, etc.), network administration
• Higher education in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or relevant courses:
• Experience working in a global corporate organization
• Variety of soft skills to ensure optimal work relationship within the organizations:
o Proficient in English (both written and verbal), exceptional customer service and positive approach, problem solving skills
