We’re looking for a Senior Shopify Developer to help build dynamic eCommerce experiences. This role goes beyond front-end development—it's about understanding Shopify fully, from custom themes to apps. You'll collaborate with designers, product managers, and marketers to create high-performing solutions for both D2C and B2B audiences in a remote-first environment.

🔧 What You’ll Be Doing:

- Develop custom Shopify themes using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS.

- Build modular, scalable components that support dynamic content and evolving business needs.

- Work with Shopify’s GraphQL API and other data sources to fetch dynamic data and integrate it into both themes and apps.

- Build and extend Shopify apps, using app extension points such as Admin UI, Checkout UI, and Shopify Functions.

- Participate in feature branching, pull requests, and peer code reviews using GitHub for version control.

- Contribute to a CI/CD pipeline, helping us ship clean, tested code on a weekly or bi-weekly cadence.

- Take full ownership of features—from idea to production—always aligned with business goals and customer needs.

- Partner with SEO specialists, content teams, and marketers to ensure everything we build is fast, optimized, and scalable.

- Implement technical SEO best practices to optimize structured product data and performance.

✅ Must-Have Skills:

- Strong experience in custom Shopify theme development using Liquid, JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS.

- Proficient in Shopify APIs, particularly GraphQL.

- Proven experience with Shopify app development and app extension points.

- Proficiency with Git and collaborative workflows (feature branches, PRs, reviews).

- Comfortable with CI/CD practices and agile delivery cycles.

- Understanding of eCommerce architecture, particularly Shopify, ERP systems, and PIMs in D2C/B2B environments.

- Ability to work with structured content, including metafields, customer groups, and display logic.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure, especially related to app hosting and server-side tools.

- Experience with analytics platforms, including GA4 and server-side Google Tag Manager.

- Familiarity with Azure DevOps for sprint planning and task management.

- Understands technical SEO fundamentals, such as structured product data and performance optimization in a D2C context.

- Fluent in English, with clear communication in written and spoken form.

- Self-driven and proactive, with the ability to prioritize and solve problems independently.

- Comfortable working in small, cross-functional teams, where flexibility and communication are key.

- Willingness to take ownership and accountability for features and outcomes, from understanding business goals to deployment and iteration.

💡 Nice-to-Have Skills:

- Familiarity with product feed management, including preparing or transforming data for marketplaces or B2B channels.

- Interest in scalable, multichannel eCommerce architecture, with awareness of marketplace integration and content segmentation needs.

- Exposure to data platform or warehouse concepts, especially with future AI and automation use cases.

- Understanding of performance optimization strategies, including Core Web Vitals, lazy loading, and rendering best practices.

- Curiosity about the broader eCommerce business, with an appreciation for how development choices impact customer experience and commercial success.

What You’ll Get:

- Paid 2-month probation period - we want to make sure we’re a good fit for each other!

- Remote work - work from wherever you feel most productive.

- Flexible schedule from 10 AM to 6 PM Kyiv time (including a 1-hour lunch break).

- Full-time benefits, including 20 days of paid vacation and 10 days of sick leave. (More details here: https://bit.ly/dvbenefits).
