About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Kafka Engineer to join our project for a leading American multinational payment card services corporation. This role requires strong expertise in Kafka and cross-data center replication, with hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of Kafka-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the migration of Kafka clusters from Cardinal Data Centers to the client's infrastructure.
• Translate business needs into Kafka architecture and implementation strategies.
• Assess and refine technical requirements and design Kafka-based data flows.
• Plan for capacity, scalability, and perform workload analysis.
• Create, configure, and manage Kafka topics and user permissions.
• Develop Kafka Streams for application support.
• Conduct performance testing, tuning, and troubleshoot post-deployment issues.
• Generate performance and usage reports; manage data lifecycle (cleansing, purging, archiving, TTL policies).
• Optimize Kafka configurations to enhance throughput and reduce latency.
• Respond to incidents and ensure quick service restoration.
• Define and maintain Kafka monitoring requirements and dashboards.
• Conduct audits for compliance and performance.
• Manage application workloads interfacing with Kafka.
• Support, maintain, and enhance existing Kafka infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
• Address security vulnerabilities and ensure system patches are up-to-date.

Technical Requirements:

• Proven expertise in Kafka.
• Experience with cross-data center replication.
• 5–6 years of experience in a similar role.
• Higher education in a relevant field.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
