System Administrator Offline

We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Administrator with good command of English, as part of your role will include onboarding foreign employees. 

You will play a key role in maintaining stable system operations, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of all internal services.

 

Important focus areas for this role: secure remote access, VPN configuration, and firewall management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Selection, procurement, and configuration of equipment for the team.
  • Onboarding and offboarding of foreign employees (account setup, hardware handover or shipment, access provisioning, account deactivation).
  • Administration of internal services (Google Workspace, Atlassian, Zoom): user and group management, security policy configuration.
  • Support and maintenance of IAM structure — unified management of roles and permissions.
  • Configuration and maintenance of VPN infrastructure, firewall rules, implementation of Zero Trust and MFA.
  • Administration of office and virtual network infrastructure.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting of internal services performance issues.
  • Ensuring server security and protection against unauthorized access.
  • Implementation and maintenance of virtualization systems (Proxmox, KVM, VMware).
  • Use of tools for inventory and license/subscription management.
  • Work with password management systems (e.g., Bitwarden, Vault).
  • Recovery of root access in emergency scenarios.

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
  • Strong knowledge of MacOS (the team works on Mac devices) and Linux (servers).
  • Understanding of networking protocols: TCP, UDP, firewall rules, port diagnostics.
  • Experience with network isolation, VLANs, and implementation of Zero Trust principles.
  • Hands-on experience with VPN servers (OpenVPN, WireGuard, IPsec) — configuration, access control, encryption.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (log analysis, performance bottleneck identification).
  • English proficiency sufficient for discussing technical tasks.
  • Bonus: experience with VoIP systems.
