Ruby on Rails Developer (offline)

An Engineering role for a rapidly growing team mixed culture team within Digital Marketing industry.
Candidates for this position should have a minimum of 3 years of development experience on a large-scale system with Ruby and Ruby on Rails. The position requires the ability to understand and build linearly scalable system for large data set and stream processing.
Some experience with front-end MVC frameworks like Ember.js, Backbone.js or Angular.js is required.

Type: On-going Independent Contract (1+ year).
Schedule: 40/hrs a week, 3PM to 12AM UA timezone.

Qualifications:
— Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related areas with strong technical understanding of SaaS/Web-Services software development is essential;
— 2+ years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails;
— 2+ experience in Elastic Search or other similar IR system;
— 2+ years of experience in SOA, Data and Application Integration, Web Services, Enterprise Service Bus (ESB);
— 2+ years experience working with web-based and/or SaaS application development projects;
— Strong understanding of SDLC and Release life cycle (Continuos Delivery) and Agile methodologies;
— Familiarity with writing unit and functional tests;
— Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
— Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment;
— Ability to bridge gaps and communicate effectively between cross-functional teams;
— Excellent organizational skills including ability to prioritize tasks efficiently with high level of attention to detail;
— Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills conducive to team development;
— Strong sense of ownership, follow-through, and orientation towards results.
