QA Automation Engineer (offline)

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Kharkiv, Ukraine.

As a QA Automation Engineer with GeoGuard, you will be responsible for developing automated tests and maintaining GeoGuard products as assigned by the Product Manager. This position contributes to the implementation process of automated tests on Node.js, Selenium Webdriver for new features and solutions and maintains open communication with the Product Manager and QA Lead.

This candidate will be part of a team that helps to provide a high-quality product to all our clients. You enjoy working in a fast paced environment and enjoy learning and wants to grow your career with us.

You are able to, and enjoy, working across multiple teams across locations, have good communication and interpersonal skills. You have proven your ability to work under tight timelines in your previous work experience, and are highly organized and detail-oriented.

Your key accountabilities and responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Create and maintain automation tests
- Record defects found and assign priority to defects according to the GeoGuard QA guidance
- Perform all activities for release
- Assist QA Project Lead with effort estimates
- Identify opportunities for improvements and help others to identify opportunity for improvements by providing clear and constructive feedback
- Participate in team meetings and quality assurance walk-throughs according to GeoGuard PDLC guidance
- Liaise with development and product teams to understand product and business processes

Your skills & qualifications:
- Minimum of 2+ years of automated testing experience
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex documents (software requirements and design specifications, standards and regulations)
- Knowledge and skills in programming (OOP, Java)
- Experience working with Selenium WebDriver, Node.js
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Basic knowledge of databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Strong knowledge of theory and best practices of software testing
- Experience with testing tools (Jira, TestRail etc.)
- Intermediate written and spoken technical English enough to discuss issues with teams remotely
