Junior QA Engineer Offline

About the Role:
We are seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join our team and assist in building and refining the quality assurance process for our newly acquired PaymentHub product, HubbleGate. In this role, you will work closely with the team as you gain experience, helping to ensure the reliability and functionality of HubbleGate by contributing to test case development and executing manual testing under guidance.

 

Requirements:

  • Software testing experience of around 6 months to 1 year
  • Interest in learning how to start QA activities from scratch and adapt to limited documentation
  • Some hands-on exposure to Postman or similar tools for API testing
  • Willingness to create and refine test cases and test scenarios with limited existing documentation
  • Basic understanding of frontend testing and a desire to learn about UI/UX considerations
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with engineering teams
  • Foundational knowledge of software testing approaches, types, and methodologies
  • Openness to writing and validating test cases, checklists, and test plans with mentorship
  • Familiarity with different types of testing concepts
  • Exposure to Agile environments
  • Any web or mobile testing experience is a plus
  • Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence/TestRail (or similar tools)
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Basic understanding of client/server architecture

 

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity or interest in payment gateways or financial applications
  • Basic XML/HTML/JSON knowledge
  • Curiosity about learning a programming language for potential future automation
  • Ability to improve documentation with guidance
  • Some exposure to Git or other version control tools

 

Responsibilities:

  • Experience in the fintech/banking domain
  • Help establish QA activities for the payment application, starting small and growing with support
  • Contribute to developing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios
  • Perform manual testing under supervision, including frontend and backend functionalities
  • Use Postman (or similar tools) for simple API testing, validating data exchange in JSON format
  • Identify and document bugs, working closely with senior team members to track and resolve them
  • Suggest improvements to QA processes as you grow in the role
  • Provide clear updates on testing progress, issues, and outcomes to the team as you gain confidence
