Business System Analyst to $4000

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Business System Analyst with a strong background in infrastructure and API-driven systems, ideally within the AdTech industry. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in highly technical environments, understands system architecture, DNS, domain and email infrastructure, and is deeply comfortable working with APIs, data pipelines, and cloud-based services. 
This role requires someone who not only gathers and documents requirements, but also understands the technical constraints and implications of infrastructure-heavy products.
You will work closely with the Lead Product Manager and Product Owners to support the development of our email and performance marketing platform. Your focus will be on translating high-level ideas into clear, technically sound, and actionable documentation for developers – serving as the vital bridge between business and engineering.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with Product Owners and the Lead Product Manager to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements, workflows, and detailed documentation.
-Work directly with development teams to clarify, refine, and validate system-level specifications, particularly for infrastructure and API-heavy services such as domain setup, DNS records, IP warm-up, mail servers, and data pipelines.
-Map current system behavior, identify edge cases, and provide deep documentation for integrations and infrastructure-level features.
-Create and maintain robust system documentation including sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams, API specs, and error handling scenarios.
-Serve as a go-to expert on assigned services or domains, maintaining a clear and accessible knowledge base that supports both internal stakeholders and technical teams.
-Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, and QA/test case design by ensuring stories and tasks are technically grounded and reflect real-world use cases and constraints.
-Participate in post-release retrospectives to improve future documentation and delivery processes.
Requirements:
-Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
-Proven experience as a Business System Analyst, with the ability to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements effectively.
-Hands-on experience in AdTech, infrastructure, or a related technical environment involving APIs, email infrastructure, DNS, cloud services, or domain-based configurations.
-Strong understanding of system architecture principles, technical documentation standards, and backend infrastructure.
-Ability to write detailed API documentation, including request/response models, authentication flows, and error cases.
-Excellent collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with product owners, engineers, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders.
-Proficiency in Agile methodologies and working with tools such as JetBrains (YouTrack), Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Miro, and Swagger/Postman for API testing.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery.
