The Role:

 

The Senior Data Scientist will architect machine learning-driven solutions that redefine real-time bidding (RTB), audience segmentation, and ad campaign optimization. This individual will own the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from ideation to deployment, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate petabytes of mobile data into actionable intelligence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Scalable Model Development: Designing and deploying end-to-end ML models (e.g., gradient-boosted trees, recommendation systems) to optimize bid pricing, fraud detection, and user lifetime value in real-time ad auctions.
  • Data Pipeline Ownership: Building fault-tolerant, scalable workflows (e.g., Spark, Flink) to process 10M+ events/sec, ensuring low-latency responses for programmatic platforms.
  • Monetization Strategy: Collaborating with Ad Operations teams to refine pricing algorithms, automate budget allocation, and predict campaign performance using time-series and unsupervised learning methods.
  • Innovation Initiatives: Prototyping NLP/computer vision tools for contextual targeting and exploring LLMs for dynamic creative optimization (DCO).
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Mentoring junior team members, presenting insights to executive stakeholders, and aligning R&D with KPIs such as ROAS, CTR, and fill rates.

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Technical Expertise:
     
    • 5+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record in AdTech, RTB, or mobile analytics.
    • Advanced proficiency in Python (PySpark, Pandas, TensorFlow/PyTorch), SQL (BigQuery, Redshift), and ML deployment tools (MLflow, Airflow).
    • Experience with real-time systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
  • AdTech Domain Knowledge:
     
    • Familiarity with DSP/SSP ecosystems, header bidding, or attribution modeling (MMP tools).
    • Understanding of programmatic advertising metrics (CPM, CPC) and auction dynamics.
  • Mindset & Approach:
     
    • A strategic thinker who bridges technical rigor with business impact.
    • Comfortable iterating rapidly in dynamic environments (A/B testing, causal inference).
