Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (TS/JS)

Our team is growing, and we are looking for a talented Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (TS/JS).

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (TS/JS), you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of our web products. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, architects, and DevOps to establish and guide and implement best practices for quality assurance. You’ll help developers with tools, guidance, and hands-on support to create and maintain comprehensive automated tests.

Our customer provides a property management software product and support services for the $100 billion Airbnb and vacation rental market. We are one of the fastest growing high-tech start-ups in Tel Aviv, we are profitable and showing very promising results.
The team is all about accuracy, architecture, and impact. We handle complex business logic, data flows and transformations, and focus on providing high-most quality & accuracy.

Responsibilities:

• Automation Strategy: Develop and oversee an automation approach for the R&D team.
• Frameworks and Tools: Identify and implement automation tools to boost test efficiency.
• Testing Plan Execution: Ensure testing plans cover essential cases and are efficiently automated.
• CI/CD Integration: Drive automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for smooth releases.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers and DevOps to align automation goals.
• Metrics and Reporting: Track automation metrics and report improvements to stakeholders.
   

Requirements:

• Experience 6 + years in automation quality engineering in agile environments.
• Previous experience in Team or Tech Leadership roles, showcasing leadership abilities.
• Skilled in automation scripting, especially with Playwright.
• Experience with with TypeScript, JavaScript, NodeJS, familiar with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Practical experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins) for integrating automated tests.
• Analytical and innovative problem-solving skills to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• At least an Upper-Intermediate level+ in English.
• BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Additional (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ.
• Experience with contract testing.
