Java Backend Developer (offline)

Job Responsibilities:

- Build robust and scalable software in our current stack
- Design and create services and system architecture for new features, and contribute/provide feedback to others
- Help improve code quality through unit tests, automation, and performing code reviews
- Participate in brainstorming sessions as well as additional ideas to our technology, algorithms, and overall product
- Work with the product/design team to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and translate that into a pragmatic and effective technical solution

Job Qualifications:

- Substantial experience (2+ years) in building software products in Java
- Substantial experience (2+ years) with OLTP/relational databases, ideally with MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Experience with REST web service development
- Experience using PaaS/IaaS systems like Heroku and AWS
- Familiarity with Linux command shells and utilities
- Strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, and algorithms
- Strong OOP and software design knowledge
- Willingness to learn new technologies

Nice to Haves:

- Experience with the following AWS technologies: Kinesis, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, Redshift
- Experience with Redis
- Experience with OCPP Protocol
- Experience with OCPI Protocol
- Experience in DevOps
- Understanding of source code management in Bitbucket
