Senior Full Stack Engineer (Shopify) Offline

PROJECT: Ribbon - empowers Shopify merchants to harness gift-giving as a growth engine. Shoppers on Ribbon-powered stores can purchase gifts without needing the recipient’s address, generate a shareable gift link, and easily send it. With a small, dedicated team, early revenue, and a pipeline of eager merchants, Ribbon is poised to redefine the gifting experience for Shopify merchants and their customers.
 

Ribbon is an innovative gifting platform that surpasses traditional gift cards by allowing recipients to receive specific products as gifts directly from product pages - without requiring their sizes or shipping addresses. This solution enables gift customers to offer products while introducing new customers to the brand seamlessly. The platform enhances upselling opportunities during redemption by suggesting additional products to complement the gift. Additionally, businesses can leverage gift-driven campaigns to maximize sales with optimal promotional timing while predicting gifting demand and minimizing overstock.

PROJECT STAGE: Startup launched in 2024

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience with Shopify;
• Experience with Shopify backend (Gadget, APIs, Liquid) and theme customization;
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, React;
• Experience with Cloudflare Workers – Handling email ingestion services;
• Experience with email ingestion into GCP;
• Strong skills in third-party integrations, performance, and troubleshooting;
• Strong English skills, both written and verbal;
• Primary Focus (70-80%) - Shopify App Development; Secondary Focus (20-30%) - General Engineering Tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build both inside and outside the Shopify ecosystem; Shopify APIs we leverage: Shopify GraphQL APIs, Cart Transform API, Checkout Extensions, Theme App Extensions, App Proxy, Shopify Flows;
• Designing scalable and maintainable solutions to enhance Ribbon’s functionality;
• Diagnosing and resolving bugs while ensuring high performance and reliability;
• Collaborating closely with the team to prioritize and deliver impactful features.
