Middle FullStack PHP Developer for Online Marketplace (offline)

Our client is one of the largest classifieds portals in Germany. With over 6 million offers, the online marketplace offers a unique selection of regional and supra-regional content. It’s the most attractive marketplace for all those who want to buy and sell online.

About the project
For more than 30 years it’s a leading platform for classifieds in Germany. More than 5 million classified ads, more than 140-million-page impression, and more than 12 million monthly visits make this project one of the biggest online platforms to buy and sell.

About the team
There will be 2 teams working on refactoring/new features implementation. Team in Ukraine consists of 8 Developers. Team on client’s side consists of 6 Developers. The team consists of FullStack Developers and FullStack PHP Lead, Java Developers, QA Engineers, Mobile Developer.

Responsibilities
Your primary focus will be on development of frontend and backend using the latest techniques (eg microservices, dockers, innovative AWS services, etc.) Despite your seniority Hands-on Development is still fun.

Analysis, design and realization of innovative web applications.
Optimization and scaling of the system in service-oriented architecture
Advancing innovative product development in an agile development environment (scrum)
Internalization of the “mobile-first” approach
Refactoring the current core (PHP, Zend1)
Willing to travel to Germany for a short period of time (about two times a year)

Required Skills:
PHP 5/7
HTML5, CSS, Javascript
Webpack, NPM/YARN, JS Unit Testing
AJAX, JSON, REST, APIs
Git / GitFlow / Semver
Any of modern PHP MVC Framework
Any of modern client library (e.g. VueJS, Angular)
Knowledge of OOP (Classes, Interfaces, methods/properties, overriding, overloading, inheritance, encapsulation, cohesion, OOP principles)
Software Design Patterns
Responsive/Adaptive Web Design, Cross Browser Compatibility
CSS Preprocessors (LESS, SASS)
Intermediate English

Nice to Have Skills:
Some experience with deployment and CI tools.
Docker, Linux, Apache
Experience with docker and cloud services AWS
Understanding of Agile/Scrum
Node.js is a plus
