Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS

We are a band of code warriors building a next-generation loyalty rewards platform with a consumer privacy focus. We are re-architecting a Rails proof of concept to scale and to serve our white label partners’ needs and millions of customers. We are excited about leveraging blockchain to increase transparency, give more control to our users, as well as streamlining operations. The team is exploring clever techniques to be industry leading stewards of our end user’s data.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at TAP you would lead our migration from heroku to AWS and build out the infrastructure needed for us to scale TAP to serve millions of end users. You will be the first member of a team that will:
Automate and orchestrate workloads across AWS using tools like Terraform, Chef, AWS OpsWorks, Puppet, Ansible, AWS Cloud Formation, or other such tools. We use Terraform today, but happy to entertain other options.
Maintain CI&CD
Develop documentation and run knowledge exchange sessions to onboard developers on the new tools
Implement tools to monitor API uptime & health as well as processes to alert and resolve issues
Develop security and compliance tools in support of DevOps processes
Stay current on security industry trends and implement best practices within DevOps
Work closely with product and platform teams to engineer and implement cloud security controls
Design and implement AWS/cloud-based DevSecOps processes and tools

Work experience as a DevOps Engineer

Docker/Containerization
Kubernetes
Terraform
Git & Github
Ability to work remotely and independently
Strong desire to get things done
Be comfortable with iterative and incremental development.
Be willing to help your teammates, share your knowledge with them, and learn from them.
BS in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
