JavaScript Reviewer (offline)

Hundreds of add-ons and updates are submitted to Mozilla every week for hosting on addons.mozilla.org. These submissions are reviewed by a talented team of JavaScript wizards and code analysis specialists to ensure compliance with Mozilla policies.

Requirements:
• Minimum 1,5 year of experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, JSON, XML
• Full grasp of the syntax and semantics of the JavaScript language
• Experience reviewing code from a client security perspective
• Some experience in working with the UNIX command line and build tools commonly used in JavaScript environments
• Knowledge how to run an NPM task
• Some knowledge of web security: remote script injection, remote tracking
• Good understanding of DOM manipulation methods (through Vanilla JS and JQuery)
• Knowledge of methods for dynamic DOM element creation (through Vanilla JS and JQuery)
• Some understanding of OOP
• Good written and verbal English

Responsibilities:
• Review add-ons submitted to AMO for security, functionality, user experience, and compliance with add-on policies
• Handle reviews flagged by other reviewers to resolve tough policy issues as well as other complications
• 20% of your time you can work as a developer on special projects as needed, using add-on development, documentation, and other technical skills
• Assist add-on developers in resolving policy questions, conflicts and further inquiries as a result of the reviews
• Show initiative in identifying areas of improvement in the add-on review process and work with the review team to optimize it
