Data Analytics Developer (remote)
We are looking for a Data Analytics Developer with both strong back and front-end skills to help us grow out the data visualizations from our Logi Analytics platform embedded within our Drupal 7 based Digital Learning Environment.
Working with a Senior Developer. The Data Analytics Developer will be responsible for configuration, development, design, creation and deployment of interactive dashboards, charts, graphs, reports and embedded analytics, testing, and support. The Data Analytics Developer will contribute to UI/UX decisions, will be expected to apply critical thinking to user experience and functionality across our portfolio, and will be regarded as an SME for usability and interface best practices and recommendations.
This position requires a combination of backend skills and aesthetics. The best candidates will have a strong understanding of Data Analytics trends and data structures, custom CSS, and scripting
You will work remotely; communication will be primarily by IM/Video Conference. A fluent English speaker, you may be required to represent the company during discussions with our external technical partners.
Responsibilities
Responsible for designing and implementing new data visualizations, working with the development team to establish and guide the data architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability. Work closely with the Lead Developer, technical third-parties, and occasionally clients to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation.
Skills and Qualifications
Primary Skills
β’ Experience developing Analytics/Reporting solutions
β’ 2+ years commercial experience
β’ Extremely fluent with SQL
β’ Extremely fluent with .NET
β’ Experience working with Logi Analytics highly desirable
β’ Experience working with scripting languages (VBScript or JavaScript a plus)
β’ Experience working with web technologies and paradigms (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
β’ Fluent with database objects and organization
β’ Ability to write JavaScript with and without the use of frameworks such as jQuery
β’ Ability to understand CSS changes to have consistent style across platforms and browsers
β’ Ability to both collaborate with team members and to work independently
β’ Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Development, Testing)
β’ Degree-level equivalent education
