We are looking for a QA Engineer to support our development efforts, maintain the highest software standards and represent a variety of external viewpoints within the team. You will work with product owners, engineers and clients to understand product requirements and undertake software testing to determine whether the final product meets the needs of the user. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. If you also have experience in scrum and agile methodologies, we’d like to meet you. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that exceeds customer
expectations and business goals.

The ideal candidate will be someone who relentlessly improves on existing testing frameworks, expanding coverage and automating the process everywhere possible. The QA Engineer plays a critical role in the team, understanding the real-world impact of the software lifecycle and being the main conduit to feed this information back to the team.

About the project:
We are developing a sophisticated financial analytics platform for fortune 500 companies. The project is well funded and we are building an amazing team of cross-disciplinary engineers from the ground up to deliver on the vision for the client so this is an excellent and exciting time to get involved.

Responsibilities:
Works on day to day testing activities on the assigned scrum teams
Including test case generation, execution, defect logging
Design tests for complex functionality
Design tests for system level changes in the application
Communicate concerns/issues on test coverage
Drive test case additions and changes needed to ensure application coverage
Perform test execution using the prepared test scripts and provide daily status
reports during test execution
Perform UAT activities, if applicable
Maintain test statistics (including execution rate)
Perform Project Strategy Updates

Requirements:
Test Automation experience with C#, .Net
Comfortable working in a fast-paced agile startup environment in a collaborative
fashion
Detail oriented
At least 5 years hands-on software testing experience
A self-starter who is focused, stays on task, and delivers result in order to
achieve top quality
Bring best practices to the team
Experience with Scrum board software
Experience writing manual and automated test cases using web-based
automation test frameworks
Creating configuration, build, and test scripts for continuous integration
Knowledge of open source web-based technologies and the unique testing needs
of these types of platforms
Excels at setting expectations and reporting progress
