Our Customer is one of the UK's leading specialist lenders, which is renowned for offering one of the most comprehensive and competitive lending portfolios in the UK.

We are looking for a Product Owner with deep knowledge in financial services (preferably, credit lending) to take part in implementation of a new SaaS platform. The qualified candidate will join one of the squads on the Customer’s side and will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and delivering features that provide tangible value to the organisation and its clients.


• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to specify the scope of the New Origination System project

• Break down the project scope into value generating features that will be delivered and supported by the IT team

• Contribute to the prioritization and management of the project backlog

• Define and scope features, enhancements, and fixes

• Write story level functional specifications with corresponding acceptance criteria

• Perform a review and sign-off of completed features/improvements/bug fixes

• Use expert knowledge of the system behaviour to ensure customer and user issues are reviewed and resolved

• Foster an environment of openness, transparency and fairness in decision making both within the IT team and across stakeholder groups

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of project documentation where appropriate

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Software Product team’s capabilities, processes, and ways of working with the wider business

• Identify, escalate, and manage risks


• 3+ years experience in a Product Owner role

• Experience in financial services environment, preferably credit lending/mortgages

• Extensive experience business analysis and requirements definition

• Experience working in collaborative Agile (Scrum / Kanban) environment

• Strong commercial focus with the ability to assess the value of feature to be delivered

• Experience in data and process modelling

• Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence

• Excellent communication skills

• A self-motivated, proactive, independent thinker, with a “can do” mentality

• Excellent written and spoken English
