Edge Gravity by Ericsson is building the world's first Edge Cloud platform in partnership with over 80 broadband service providers including Telstra, Vodafone, Telefonica, DoCoMo.
We are looking for a motivated and proactive support engineer to join our growing support team, the right person who will support Edge Compute platform running on Linux in containerized cloud environment and support large-scale business critical data systems with the challenge of low latency access for real time applications.

This role with the Edge Compute Cloud support team involves supporting core Software as a Service (SaaS) application and infrastructure components. The candidate would have the responsibility to ensure that the platform enables their customers to deploy cloud based services tiered from the core platform to the network edge. The technical stack for cloud based SaaS products targets web, enterprise, and mobile marketplaces.

Our team is looking for experienced Middle Linux support engineer able to efficiently support Linux and High Available cloud applications running on Linux/Baremetal/Docker/K8s containers in Prod uction environment.


Requirements:
-Technical background and grasp, analytical mind with strong investigation skills
- Linux experience - more than 3 years of System Administration of production servers/VMs – CentOS
- OpenStack - more than 1 year of experience as sysadmin/support or Certified Openstack Administrator (COA)
- Docker and K8s - production administration/support experience 6+ month or any certification
- Networking - at least CCNA/JCNA levels with hands-on experience or certification
- DELL/HPE Server administration and troubleshooting - at least 1 year of experience of installation/support or vendor certification
-Knowledge of support workflows (ITIL escalation) and Incident tracking tools (Jira)
- Intermediate Strong English level (able to understand spoken English during on-job training hosted abroad, attend conf calls, webinars with native speakers)
- Experience in routine operations automation with Ansible/Shell script/Python
- Basic SQL/noSQL DB knowledge (able to troubleshoot DB connectivity issues)
- Basic BigData and MQ knowledge (able to troubleshoot flume, Kafka, Hadoop)
- Ability to maintain Knowledge Base of Tier 2 most frequent issues and their fixes, mentor junior/middle engineers on - Linux/Cloud/Network/DevOps Tools topics
- Basic experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools (ELK Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, Alerta, Icinga2 etc)


Preferences:
- 4+ year of experience in Linux/DevOps support team
- Strong knowledge of Internet/Networking protocols and networks (Juniper, K8s networking, OpenStack Neutron)
- Any Linux/Cloud/IaaC/Network/DB certification or online training certificate
- Strong understanding of Cloud Ops best practices and anti-patternson or online training certificate
