Senior Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced backend engineer who is excited about working on a next-generation meter file storage system. Your job will be to develop, test, and deploy improvements to make infrastructure more scalable, cost-effective, and performant, as well as developing new platform features and capabilities.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
✅ You are an experienced, self-starter backend engineer that is passionate about modern technology and cloud-native software architecture.
✅ You have 6+ years of experience building microservices with Java
✅ You have experience with AWS technologies such as S3, SQS, RDS, and Lambda, and hands-on experience using and developing the following: designing REST APIs; data pipelines using timeseries data, DynamoDB, and Athena; CI/CD with cloud formations; unitests and mocking frameworks; payments/billing solutions
✅ You are disciplined in your approach to writing quality code, backed by best practices and years of hands-on experience.
✅ You have a bias towards moving fast and making things happen.
✅You are looking to take ownership and make an immediate impact.
✅ You have an understanding of the concept of a metering service as it relates to underpinning usage-based pricing and billing infrastructure.
✅You work well as part of a team. You have experience mentoring junior team members, you collaborate well, share and receive constructive feedback, and are not afraid to stand up for what you believe in.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
💻 Create new micro services on AWS Lambda
💻 Handle large data sets processing
💻 Create publicly facing API's
💻 Contribute to amberflo SDK's
💻 Troubleshoot production issues with observability tools
