QA Manual/Automation Engineer (with Python)

Project Description:

We are embarking on the development of a comprehensive monitoring and diagnostics system. This system will serve the dual purpose of enabling both local and remote access to data and analytics, as well as facilitating local and remote troubleshooting. It will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our web applications.

Responsibilities:

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate closely with the Product Owner to define rigorous test cases that validate the acceptance criteria for incoming user stories related to our web applications. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Crafting functional and non-functional user interfaces (UI): You will create UI designs that meet the highest standards of quality.

2. Facilitating clear and effective communication: You will communicate in English with development engineers to establish test expectations and report defects.

3. Defect tracking: You will utilize defect tracking tools to meticulously log and describe defects, along with the conditions necessary for their reproducibility.

4. Design and estimation: Actively participating in design and estimation discussions, contributing your valuable insights.

5. Quality enhancement: You will enhance the overall quality of our solutions by identifying potential issues in architecture, design, and implementation.

6. Agile development: Playing a pivotal role in our Agile development process, starting from requirements analysis and design and extending all the way to final feature acceptance and deployment.

Mandatory Skills Description:

We are seeking candidates with the following mandatory skills:

- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in creating and executing test cases.
- Testing Proficiency: Proficiency in both functional and non-functional software testing, including a deep understanding of the software test life cycle and various test design methodologies (e.g., functional, performance, accessibility, scenario).
- Requirements-based Testing: Expertise in creating and executing test cases based on customer and software requirements.
- Python: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Python.
- Testing Frameworks: Proven experience in setting up testing frameworks from scratch.
- Backend and Data Testing: Extensive background in testing Backend (API) and ensuring data quality.
- API Testing Tools: Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman and Swagger.
- Database Proficiency: Strong fundamentals in databases (SQL) and proficient usage of SQL databases.
- IoT and Time Series Data: Familiarity with IoT and expertise in handling time series data.
- Linux Knowledge: Proficiency in Linux.
- AWS Experience: Experience with AWS services.
- CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins.
- Performance Testing: Experience in Performance testing.
- Communication Skills: Strong soft skills in communication.
- Language Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and reproduce challenging software bugs.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

In addition to the mandatory skills, the following skills are considered advantageous:

- Automation Collaboration: Experience collaborating with QA automation teams.
- AWS Green Grass: Familiarity with AWS Green Grass.
- Industrial Protocols: Experience or knowledge of Industrial protocols, such as Modbus.
