Seeking an experienced AQA Chapter Lead to oversee the dynamic QA team. The size and the structure of the PROJECT team

Our Engineering Team is now growing consisting of Senior Software Developers, DevSecOps Engineers, Architects and Designers who are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of our platform, from architecture through to infrastructure. Individually they are all exceptional at what they do, but by working collaboratively within a team, consistently applying best-practice and automating absolutely everything they are able to build world-class software for our customers. This is a completely greenfield project, a fully funded cutting edge startup that will require you to muck in with every aspect of our delivery lifecycle. Sometimes you might be working closely with the DevSecOps engineering teams, other times with the PO’s and other times with external parties defining integration mechanisms. We don’t mind where our Developers are based as we are happy for our team to work from anywhere in the UK, EU or GCC, with most of them choosing to work remotely most of the time. We encourage our colleagues to participate in regular (as often as possible) meet-ups with the rest of the team worldwide. We find this builds the effective working relationships that are otherwise missing with fully remote teams.

About you

Hands-on 5+ years of relevant development or testing experience.
Understand cloud delivery using tools like Git, Argo CD, and Kubernetes.
Significant Test Automation skills using leading Web & Mobile tools: RestAssured, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, SoapUI, or others.
Experience working with on-site and remote teams.
Appium - cross-platform test automation tool for native, hybrid, and mobile web and desktop apps.
A solid understanding of the Test Automation Pyramid, including different levels of tests.
Continuous integration environments covering: source code repositories; version control; build creation; unit, integration, and system tests.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Fluency in English and excellent writing/editing and verbal communication skills.
Available start working day at 8 am-5 pm KSA Time

Will be a plus

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software, or a related discipline or the equivalent.
Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably JAVA.
Experience working on Agile (Scrum) teams.
Has experience in Banking Systems & FinTech
Has experience in Non-functional Testing (Performance & Security)
Has worked with cloud solutions
Expertise in the end-to-end software development life cycle
Good knowledge of scripting skills with one or more scripting languages, such as Javascript or Java is helpful.
Strong attention to detail and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

Supporting Agile delivery team/s with strategy, estimation, planning, and test execution for testing Web and Mobile applications including API
Driving the whole team Quality mindset approach
Owning the responsibility for test (case) coverage, test execution and test and defect reporting and metrics.
Establishing and increasing our automated testing frameworks for UI and API test automation.
Advocating for QA best practices across the development and engineering teams, plus establishing checks and balances to prevent regressions and production issues.
Being flexible with responsibilities and having a positive attitude towards any changes to the role, company/departmental objectives, priorities, and targets
You enjoy solving problems in a creative way and aren't afraid to dig deeper to find solutions
You are data-oriented and have strong attention to detail
You have an exceptional understanding of procedures and possibilities to identify gaps
Understanding the Test Automation Design patterns and frameworks
Participate in code review sessions with developers and QA Engineers
