Business Intelligence developer

We are looking for a Business Intelligence developer with strong data engineering experience and ideally some exposure to data science.

The developer will help with selection, design and implementation of the data storage type (data lake and data warehouse, or data warehouse) which will be used for BI analytics.

They will also create, amend, enhance and test current and new Power BI reports and dashboards.

Skills required:

• Development of end-to-end Power BI reporting and analytics solutions, including Azure SQL Database, Dataverse, DAX, M, dashboarding best practices and Power BI deployment modes.
• Highly skilled in data analysis, Data modelling and designing ETL processes.
• Strong knowledge of the Azure platform, including Azure Data Lake, data warehousing in Azure, orchestration products such as Azure Data Factory as well as Azure Data Catalog and Data Quality Services.
• Previous experience as a data scientist using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Deep Learning would be an advantage.
• Experience and good understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience of using Azure Dev Ops.
• Ability to create proof-of-concepts or other prototypes using a variety of technologies and platforms as required.
• Experience with other Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) is an advantage.

As a BI developer, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

• You will help with selecting, designing and implementing the data storage type.
• You will work with stakeholders within business and technology to understand clients' requirements and help to design and implement optimal Power BI solutions.
• You will assist the existing development team to design, develop and improve functionalities.
• Following development best practices, you will write clean, efficient and well-documented code.
• You will support Production Power Platform applications.
• You will be proactive and able to deliver to tight deadlines, with minimal supervision.
• You will act as a Power BI product evangelist to build awareness and understanding and stay up to date with the changing technology landscape.
• You will be able to select the right Power Platform/O365/Azure technology to deliver adequate solutions, which fulfil technical requirements while working within budget.
