The Opportunity

STFX is seeking an engineer who can work with our stack in order to expand and maintain our systems. This role will be a highly visible role within the organization to serve the core infrastructure for the upcoming STFX product. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge and passion for all things DeFi.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the architectural vision for our backend systems, encompassing scalability, reliability, security, and performance, and ensure that the technical solutions align with the product roadmap.

Lead the system-level design for the backend systems, including database schemas, APIs, microservices, and infrastructure, and establish best practices for the engineering team.

Manage and mentor a team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance and support to achieve team goals and individual development.

Define and communicate a clear technical vision for the backend systems, encompassing architecture, design patterns, tools, and methodologies, and lead the implementation of the technical solutions.

Monitor the backend systems' performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the system for efficiency.

Working jointly with other team members to make essential product decisions and devise the system architecture.

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

7+ years of experience in backend development and architecture, and 2+ years in web3.

Proven experience in creating and executing the architectural vision, and establishing system-level design patterns and best practices.

Strong technical leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of engineers.

Experience with NodeJS development for backend services and RESTful APIs.

Knowledge of database technologies, such as SQL and NoSQL databases (ideally MongoDB) and Redis.

Deep technical understanding of and passion for DeFi and crypto in general.

Deep understanding of how EVM works.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
