Senior QA Automation Engineer (offline)

Project Description:
Our client in banking and capital markets industry is building a centralized platform for its sales and trading business vertical.

A critical challenge is the client experience, where clients face off with three separate businesses, rather than a one-stop-shop. This experience is mirrored on the back-end with three separate workflows and infrastructures across products.

We are building a team to engage in development of a centralized, in-house driven sales and trading platform, engaging with IT and control functions in support of rollout across all trading business.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for guaranteeing a level of quality for the Client and helping the software development team identify problems early in the process.
Performs required activities without assistance according to proven techniques.
Understands advantages and disadvantages and supports certain QA practices.
Shapes QA process, performs testing activities according to best practices, and shares knowledge with less experienced Quality Assurance Engineers in the team.
Engages with the entire team to drive best practices to drive towards defect prevention rather than detection.
Prepares test strategies.
Leads transformation/optimization of QA process.
Defines and implement the testing strategy for requirements being implemented.
If applicable leads and shapes QA team.
Provide supervision for other roles.
Drives test process changes.

Mandatory Skills Description:
Strong theoretical knowledge of different types of tests (functional, non-functional)
Strong experience in software testing and different types of tests
Strong experience in either testing or Quality Assurance Engineer role
Strong practical knowledge of software development process
Strong practical knowledge about test methodologies
Strong practical knowledge about testing process lifecycle
Strong Agile/Scrum theoretical and practical knowledge
Strong coding/scripting languages experience (java, groovy, python, unix shell or similar)
Strong experience and knowledge of automated test tools (QTP, SOA test, Selenium or similar)
Ability to handle multiple tasks/subprojects simultaneously, organizational skills
Proven ability to propose and implement solutions for strategy and processes

Nice-to-Have Skills:
Knowledge of sales and trading domains of investment banking business
