Network Engineer (offline)

We are looking for a specialist to be part of Digital Transformation Project of BSS/OSS. This is a big international project of transformation of business and processes for the group of telecom companies that are being built with new data technologies and IoT. The scope of the digital transformation covers the following business streams: B2C, B2B and B2B2X. The main target of the project is to provide customers with the ability to be more agile, people-oriented, innovative, customer-centric, streamlined, efficient and able to induce/leverage opportunities to change the status quo and tap into new information and service-driven revenues.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Providing pure technical support of network & security infrastructure services;
• Participating in system studies and implementing features according to requirements, including coding, feature testing, and product documentation;
• Working with developing IP security, IP routing, IP forwarding, Quality of Service in a Linux execution environment;
• Reporting to manager of DBSS application and infrastructure.

Qualifications and skills:

• At least 5 years of relevant working experience;
• Broad overview of IP technologies;
• Good understanding of operator business drivers and technologies in the IP network areas;
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Perl, Python);
• Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum, TDD, CI) and Lean;
• Good communication skills and command of English (intermediate level);
• Ability to work under pressure to perform challenging tasks.

As an asset:

• IP Certification on Juniper and/or Cisco (CCNP level);
• Knowledge of Java programming and SW testing;
• Knowledge of C/C++ programming.
