An essential part of your connected car experience is how to access and enjoy all the new features safely, without being distracted from driving. That's why your connected car has to provide a robust and well-designed Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
While the automotive industry making the transition from traditional to connected vehicles and then toward autonomous vehicles, development of an efficient and safe HMI becomes central part of the modern automotive design. There are millions of cars on the road today featuring Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) developed by/with Luxoft.
We offer you to join fast growing team, supported by highly professional Luxoft experts, in challenging journey: creation and customization of the modern and comprehensive Qt/C++ and HTML5/React based HMI. You'll be key member of cross-functional scrum team, closely work with customer, travel to US and Canada. Future relocation to US/Canada is possible.
Your zone of responsibility will include:
β’ Integration of different media codecs into HMI
β’ Enabling HMI with mobile projection technologies
β’ Development and integration of different services for media, phone, navigation and speech recognition
While this job will be both challenging and extremely interesting for a person with an analytical mind, it will be well compensated by Luxoft wage and extremely good social package.
Responsibilities:
β’ Design separate components, modules, classes, database tables etc.
β’ Code, debug, document, and maintain portions of software.
β’ Perform unit and integration testing.
β’ Participate in peer code and design reviews.
β’ Participate in estimation and planning sessions.
β’ Contribute to development of technical project documentation and user documentation.
β’ Provide assistance to test engineers and support personnel in solving technical issues of software installation and its operation.
β’ Participate in conference calls and face-to-face meetings with the Customer and Customer partners.
β’ Comply with the best engineering practices, the technical standards and the quality criteria set forth on the project.
β’ Report status and progress according to the project rules.
β’ Spot current deficiencies in the development process, adopted procedures and engineering practices, environment configurations, etc., and suggest improvements.
β’ Escalate technical issues to the Architect, Team Lead and Project Manager.
β’ Improve your qualification within the areas of expertise at various training courses, seminars and/or other educational organizations
Hard skills:
β’ Knowledge and expertise with Embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, Android)
β’ Experience in C/C++ development (C++ 11/14)
β’ Middleware Software C/C++ (experience with POSIX compliant systems is required)
β’ Experience with Multimedia, Audio/Video Codecs and integration
β’ Experience with Projection technologies such as Apple CarPlay or Android-Auto
β’ Knowledge of APIs / SDKs that provide services for media, phone, navigation, and speech recognition
β’ Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks
β’ Experience in work with auto test based on Selenium
