Navico provides recreational boaters worldwide, cartography products and services for all types of leisure boaters, from fishermen and sailing enthusiasts to powerboat owners.
Our mobile navigation solution for recreational users is named Embark.
Whether you are an occasional sailor, a long-distance boater or an angler, Embark helps you plan your trip and keep you, your crew and your boat safe on the water.

Embark gets smarter every time, so you can catch more fish, navigate more safely and relax onboard so your experience on the water becomes more awesome.
For a new generation of “Multi-Function Display” devices, the next step is to make Embark run on boats powered by Android Open Source operating system (AOSP).

To help us deliver on our vision, we are looking for a talented Senior Android Engineer to build the next generation nautical experiences for boats.
Your goal is to build high-quality nautical experiences for a range of AOSP based devices that our users love.
Your main metrics are user engagement and satisfaction.

Your responsibilities include:
Develop enjoyable nautical experiences in Embark which work across platforms (Boat, Mobile and Web)
Build delightful UX/UI around nautical maps.
Help to give technical direction to a team of mobile engineers
Be a role model for quality and simplicity for the rest of the team
Ability to research, propose and set the technology direction for cross platforms products
Complete and automate CI and CD processes
Work in close collaboration with our Mobile Embark and backend team helping them to deliver great services.
