JavaScript and TypeScript - Architect/CTO/Team Lead (5yrs+) (offline)

We are looking for a motivated and skillful software architect/team lead, with experience in application development. Among others, the successful candidate is expected to work full-time and on-site, on projects currently under development. As a Team Leader will guide, mentor and coach the development team.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Leads the process of designing, reviewing and developing of software solutions.
- Creates and reviews all technical designs for development of applications and software solutions.
- Leads and manages software development teams and ensures that the software products are developed according to the company standards.
- In coordination with CEO, helps in defining internal standards for software development, defining the proper software project management methodology and ensures these standards are being applied in the process of software development and ensures that the product is developed in timely manner.
- Helps other developers in solving technical and functional issues during the process of development and if needed writes code as well. Makes sure that team members understand their tasks based on the technical architecture.
- Prepares the technical documentation for every project internal or external.
- Ensures that the “source code” is saved in appropriate repositories for all the products.
- Ensures that all developed products are up-to-date. Presenting regular progress reports and setting goals.
- Evaluates the performance of the team members and reports the feedback to CEO.
- Ensures that new standards and trends of software development are applied in the company.

Key skills and qualifications:

- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, at least 5 years of professional experience with web enabled commercial application development;
- Expertise in front-end technologies, including JavaScript, CSS3 and HTML5 and third-party libraries such as React
- Experience with unit/integration tests (mocha, chai, sinon);
- Experience with Microservices Architecture and message brokers;
- Experience with REST;
- Experience with developement of microservices communication via queues (RabbitMQ);
- Experience with PostgreSQL database;
- Experience with AWS;
- Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux - nice to have;
