Senior Data Engineer (offline) $6000-10000

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer. The company is a cohort of 21(and growing) gaming studios located around the world, this role will directly collaborate with a distributed team across all studios.

Candidates will have the opportunity of a lifetime developing a cutting-edge data platform that will consolidate data from over 300 games, petabytes of data, and dozens of services from User Acquisition, attribution partners, payment platforms, and data warehouses found at all of our studios. This role is for someone that wants to build a platform from the ground up, taking the best tools, resources, and expert knowledge from our company and beyond.

Daily responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain and troubleshoot ETLs written in Python and SQL
- Design, maintain and troubleshoot data pipelines and events flowing from games, through webservers, into data warehouses
- Build data-driven tools for LiveOps and User Acquisition services
- Code review and validate SQL and Python supplied by peers
- Participate in managing Snowflake users, data and
- Generate reports and analyze data to isolate and explain data irregularities using SQL

What you bring to the team

- 8+ years of commercial software development experience
- 6+ years of Python and related data analysis libraries
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible)
- Experience with TDD (test-driven development)
- Strong experience with Snowflake and Airflow
- Familiar with Kubernetes, Grafana, and Looker (and similar BI tools)
- Proven ability to develop clear, elegant, and maintainable code
- Well acquainted with AWS
- Communicate effectively with a cross-functional international team

Nice to have

- Snowflake database management experience
- Previous experience in mobile gaming or user acquisition
- Bachelors in Computer Science
