We are looking for smart, dynamic, and intuitive people to join our growing team of insurance technology professionals and industry experts – this particular opportunity is for an experienced: Java Microservices Developer to work in a new team and build out a new suite of products.

Responsibilities:
• Participate in software development lifecycle by analyzing and implementing business (functional & non-functional) as well as internal requirements on both backend and frontend levels
• Work closely with the rest of the team to ensure coherent implementation of features in both backend and frontend rule engines.
• Support for existing product users – both internal and external clients.
• Actively participate during Scrum ceremonies: planning, backlog refinement, dailies, retrospective.
• Contribute to the overall team success during all phases of the software development life cycle, including architecture designs, requirements, and usability.
• Work according to the best practices and standards (Agile methodologies, continuous integration, and delivery, code reviews, etc.)
• Thrive in a fast-paced development environment

Required skills and experience:
• At least 2 years experience as a Java Software Developer
• Wide mental outlook and analytical thinking
• Solid background in design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
• Expert Java knowledge and skills (Java 11+)
• Experience with building enterprise Java applications, with a focus on the Spring ecosystem
• Distributed systems architecture and microservices, Docker, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL solutions
• Understanding of CICD practices and tools (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, ELK, or similar)
• Reactive programming (experience in RxJava is preferred)
• Embracing test-driven development
• Ability to work in a team, excellent soft skills
• Experience in Scrum/Agile work environment
• Fluent communication skills, proficient with communicating ideas in both oral and written English
• Javascript/Typescript and React experience would be considered a bonus
