Data scientist (offline)

Our Сlient is a Swiss company operating in the mobile app space. They offer a full suite of products and services for App Market Data and Mobile App Intelligence. Bringing a unique combination of technical and business skills together, company provides their customers with a thorough analysis of the latest developments on the app stores and mobile industry. As a Data Scientist, you are someone who is passionate about processing and understanding large data sets, in particular data about mobile apps. You will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and turn raw data into valuable insights. This role involves contributing to the entire stack, working with DevOps and other Data Scientists to build applications and algorithms. The best match for this position would be someone with extensive hands-on experience, who can collaborate in a team of engineers but also work autonomously where needed.

Responsibilities:

- Identifying relevant data sources for business needs
- Building predictive models
- Building machine learning algorithms
- Enhancing the data collection process
- Analysing data for trends and patterns and to find answers to specific questions
- Assess quality of data and remove or clean data
- Generating information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns

Requirements:

- 3+ years of work experience as a Data Scientist
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (e.g. ECS, EMR Spark, RDS, Redshift, Beanstalk)
- Expert knowledge of Python
- Self-motivated, team player comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
- Experience with huggingface, TF-IDF, regression analysis, CNN
- Fluent English

Will be a plus:

- Good abilities in DevOps
- Ability to identify and resolve performance issues
- Proficiency in more than one programming language (Java, Python, Bash)
- Strong SQL/Elasticsearch skills
- Experience designing data models and data warehouses
- Experience with Google Vision
