We're looking for Senior DevOps for a full-time position (40 hours per week). To join for the biggest online travel company!

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will independently propose and develop solutions in support of our engineering teams. You will actively collect and refine requirements to help turn ambiguous project statements into actionable plans. Through your work you will grow expertise in one or more technologies and share your learnings with others. You will be responsible for testing the software you write and will maintain your features once released. You will actively provide code reviews to your peers, ensuring that team standards and best practices are adhered to. Similarly, you will actively seek feedback from your peers and promote a collaborative and fast-paced engineering culture. You will sometimes coordinate the work of other engineers, providing mentorship to help them succeed.

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
4+ years of large scale development experience
Extensive experience in AWS services, infrastructure, and best-practices in architecture, including Infrastructure-as-code such as CDK and Terraform, and scripting languages like bash, python, or others.
Familiar with various database and serverless technologies like EC2, VPC, RDS/Aurora, Lambdas, Fargate, AWS Batch, Eventing, etc. Experience with web development in Java. The teams develop with Java, Tomcat, Linux, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, Hadoop, and Hive
Ability to lead other like-minded engineers to develop and deliver on common architecture and infrastructure building out a business on-premise and on AWS

What we’re looking for help with:

Evaluating and modernizing existing infrastructure, including adapting it for AWS, using Terraform and CDK
Driving DevOps best practices across the B2B organization by working closely with engineering stakeholders and delivering new features to enable those practices
Defining and holding teams accountable for SLO/SLI/SLAs. Working with teams to help set and maintain monitoring and observability of their software stacks
Designing and leading teams across our B2B in migrations from on-premise data center to a cloud environment
Mentoring junior engineers and promoting the success of the team by participating in design reviews, providing critical feedback, assisting and unblocking team members, contributing to and supporting team values and processes.
Owning the entire software engineering process for the solutions you create, from design to implementation, QA, operations and maintenance.
