Regular DevOps Engineer with AWS, Ukraine

1Hop is an engineering platform team. We build tools and library that are used by multiple teams at Nordstrom, primarily by Data plane teams. Event merger and Profile Generator are streaming java applications built using Kafka and DynamoDB.

Project Description
1Hop is an engineering platform team. We build tools and library that are used by multiple teams at Nordstrom, primarily by Data plane teams. Event merger and Profile Generator are streaming java applications built using Kafka and DynamoDB. There is also a data pipeline tool that supports data processing from Kafka, S3 and Teradata using Apache Spark as compute using Python or Scala are the programming languages.

Also, a candidate must be ready for periodical 12 hours of on-call support.

Responsibilities
- Configuration management
- Maintain existing platform
- Suggest enhancements
- MR review for other team members
- Apply new features
- Bugfix of existing features
- Build and ship product artifacts to dev/prod cluster

Skills
Must have

- 2+ years of proved DevOps or similar commercial expertise
- AWS and expertise with supporting platforms in AWS
- Experience with at least 1 general purpose programming languages (preferably Python or Java, but other languages can be acceptable).
- Docker
- Kafka or any other messaging system
- RDBMS (MySQL/ Oracle/ PostgreSQL)
- expertise with CI/CD tools
- Kubernetes

- Java 8/11
- Big Data experience

- Hive
- Flink
- Terraform
- Hadoop/HDFS

Will be a great plus:
- GitLab CI/CD
- New Relic/Splunk
