Spring Boot / Java BE Developer (offline)

*The Role:* We’re looking for a mid-to-senior level backend engineer to help us develop our web products and those of our clients. Help us creating a new company from scratch to serve own and clients needs.
We aim to keep our tech stack up to date, so you’ll be using recent versions of Spring, Guava, … to develop entire new services / features and maintain our existing products. Everyone on the web team enjoys a great deal of responsibility and ownership. You will be in a collaborative environment with a highly passionate, driven and fun group of individuals.

*Responsibilities:*
Be part of a cross-functional team of engineers and, product owners
Design, build, improve and release Backend Service(s), processing and securely storing data
Support us in improving our delivery pipelines, from Git to Jenkins to …
Work closely with our mobile app, data, BI, and support teams to troubleshoot problems
You communicate and collaborate effectively with product owners and engineering peers
You like to share your knowledge to help colleagues and the company to grow


*Requirements:*
1. Several years of real-world experience building and operating distributed backend systems used by many concurrent users
2. Experience in building microservices on the JVM (Java 8+)
3. Familiar with SQL and NoSQL, you used traditional databases such as Oracle, PostGres, MySQL and touched non-traditional ones, such as Lucene, ElasticSearch or Solr in the past
4. Experience with API design (Rest, GraphQL)
5. Good knowledge of unit, integration and black box testing techniques
6. Knowledge of security aspects / securing sensible data
7. Experience with the Reactive Programming is a plus
8. Experience with Docker and Deployment pipelines is a plus
9. A grasp of the importance of writing good documentation, for developers, as well as for other colleagues
