Job Purpose

As a Product Owner, you will manage the requirements backlog for our Java backend and DWH solutions teams in alignment with business needs and to prepare our solution for any upcoming challenges. You will analyze our existing solution and processes using the latest analysis tools as well as database queries. You will assist in pre-sales activities towards business partners acting as a technical subject matter expert and point of contact defining the optimal integration options. As a team member of the Product Organization, you strive for continuous optimization of our solution and our processes.

Duties and responsibilities

- Analyze capability gaps within the current functionality and define improvement options.
- Collaborate proactively with business stakeholders, product and delivery managers, engineers and architects to reach a common understanding of the solution to address the needs.
- Drive feature development for allocated development team(s) by preparing detailed requirements, defining and approving data contracts, moderating refinement sessions, supporting development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Lead integrations with tolling agencies and other third party external systems.
- Act as the main technical point of contact during pre-sales activities with business partners.
- Run and moderate SCRUM meetings (backlog grooming, planning, demo, retro, etc.) and workshops.
- Participate in troubleshooting of the running application. Analyze the root cause of the production issues and suggest the appropriate ways to avoid them in the future.
- Evaluate business analysis and requirements lifecycle processes and continuously improve them.



— Master’s degree or higher (in Computer Science or similar, desirable).
— Business education (desirable).

Specialized Knowledge:

— Understanding and ability to utilize Agile principles for software development.
— Understanding of scaling Agile through multiple teams. Knowledge of SAFe will be a plus.
— Extensive knowledge of business analysis activities and techniques.
— Awareness of the latest IT industry and digitalization trends.
— Knowledge of business process optimization and modeling approaches.
— Knowledge of requirements management tools (JIRA & Confluence).
— Knowledge of prototyping tools.
— Understanding of integrations with 3rd party systems (API, file transfer).
— Knowledge of REST and web services principles, and API documentation tools (Swagger).
— Knowledge of BPMN and UML notations.
— Knowledge of diagramming tools (draw.io, Lucidcharts or similar).
— Good knowledge in at least one Business Domain (would be a plus): finance, accounting, mobility, telecom, logistics.

Skills & Abilities:

— Very strong English verbal and written communication skills.
— Systems thinking and functional decomposition skills.
— Strong analytical skills to make a critical assessment of the information from numerous sources.
— Modeling skills to represent requirements information in graphical form.
— Setting clear goals and priorities. Time-management, ability to handle multi-tasking activities and prioritization.
— High flexibility. Ability to modify approach as per changing stakeholders, conditions, circumstances and feedback. Quick learning.
— Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
— Self-confidence. Ability to accept feedback for continuous improvement.


— IT industry experience: 3 years or more, including collaboration with clients abroad.
— Experience in business analysis or product management: 3 years or more, including defining solutions from idea to production.
— Proven experience in communication to large audiences and top management.
— Nice to have: Experience in pre-sales: 1 year or more.
